Sheep vaccination method

1. Intramuscular injection: It is suitable for vaccination of attenuated vaccine or inactivated vaccine. The injection site is on the buttocks or both sides of the neck. Generally, 16-20 gauge needles are used.

2. Subcutaneous injection: It is suitable for vaccination of attenuated vaccine or inactivated vaccine, and the injection site is inside the thigh or behind the elbow. Use your thumb and index finger to pinch the skin. When injecting, make sure that the needle is inserted under the skin. For this reason, swing the needle after inserting the needle. If you feel the needle swings freely and push the push tube of the syringe, the medicine can easily enter the skin without any resistance. The location is real. If inserted into the skin, swing the needle to drive the skin and feel resistance when pushing the liquid medicine.

3. Intradermal injection: the skin of the tail root at the injection site, using a BCG syringe and a 16-24 gauge needle. For intradermal injection of the tail root, the tail should be turned over, and the skin of the tail root should be tightened with the thumb and index finger of the left hand. The needle should be slowly inserted in a direction parallel to the skin, and the liquid should be slowly pushed in. For example, there is a pea-sized vesicle at the injection site. That means the injection is successful (this method is like a skin test by a person). At present, this method is generally applicable to a few vaccines such as sheeppox attenuated vaccine.
