Reasonable arrangement

Each adult sheep must be stored at least 400 kilograms of hay in a winter. The hay reserve can collect crop stalks, and feed the sheep by methods such as silage, micro-storage, and dry powder wet mixing. At the same time, more than 3 acres of high-quality and high-yield green fodder such as clover, ryegrass and radish can be planted in autumn according to the number of sheep to make winter fodder for the sheep to ensure that the sheep have sufficient high-quality fresh forage to feed during the dead grass period.

raising sheep

According to the age, sex, physique, etc. of the sheep, the sheep should be grouped reasonably, and the sheep of similar physical condition and strength should be grouped and raised in groups to take care of the weak lambs. In severe winter, we should adhere to the method of grazing and supplementary feeding in fine weather to manage the flock, and insist on all-day captive breeding in rainy and snowy weather. The sheep with poor physical fitness, long-term empty holding and low production performance should be eliminated in time and fattened to the market.

Scientific supplementary feeding

Winter grazing of sheep faces many difficulties, and grazing alone cannot meet the nutritional needs of sheep. The only measure is to feed the sheep with corn, wheat, radish and other concentrated feed for supplementary feeding.

In forage feeding, we should implement a combination of multiple varieties of dry first, green late, and feed less and more meals, and add them in time to ensure that the flock has sufficient, strong palatability, and comprehensive nutrition. In terms of feeding amount, the daily intake of hay should account for 6%-8% of the sheep's own body weight, and the fresh grass should account for more than 20% of the sheep's own body weight. In order to improve the fattening effect, 1%-2% of the body weight can be supplemented with concentrate, and the proportion of each hundred catties of concentrate is: corn 64 kg, fried beans or cakes 15 kg, wheat bran 18 kg, salt 1 kg , Add 1 catty, crush and stir evenly, feed quantitatively every night.

At the same time, due to the long nights and short days in winter, the interval between feeding in the evening and feeding in the next morning is as long as ten hours, and the digestion and ruminant time of sheep is about 6-8 hours, and the sheep will become hungry in the second half of the night. Therefore, the sheep should be supplemented at night as much as possible. The night time for supplementary feeding is 10-12 o'clock, and the supplementary feeding amount is about 20% of the diet. In this way, the sheep will no longer feel hungry in the second half of the night. In addition, the heat generated during the digestion process is very helpful to increase the growth rate of the sheep.

Salt and water

Some people say that winter sheep is difficult to raise, and salt water loves fat. It means that although it is difficult to raise sheep, as long as you add salt to the water for the sheep to drink, or spray light salt water on the forage, the sheep will eat more grass, so that the sheep will increase their food intake and have a full belly all day. It is easy to get fat. Using this method to raise mutton sheep can gain an average weight of more than 12 kg per month, and the most can gain more than 20 kg. In addition, if the sheep does not drink enough water and the sheep lacks water, the stomach and nose of the sheep will become dry. They do not like to eat grass, and they are also prone to dry shutters. Therefore, the sheep must have sufficient clean drinking water. Do not drink too cold water to rehydrate sheep, especially pregnant sheep, drink warm water.

Keep warm and prevent epidemic

After the winter solstice, check the sheepfold thoroughly, such as the walls, especially the north wall, to make it airtight. The ventilation tunnels around the sheep pen should be blocked in time, and the temperature in the pen should reach 10°C or more.

In winter, the temperature difference between day and night is also relatively large, and the incidence of sheep during this period is relatively high. Therefore, during this period, one must grasp the flock for sheep pox, sheep infectious pleuropneumonia, rapid sheep disease, sudden gangrene, and enterotoxin. Anti-epidemic work based on the triple inactivated vaccines for blood. Second, we must do a good job of deworming the flock of parasitic diseases. Deworming can be taken orally with aliflumazole 12.5 mg-25 mg/kg body weight or levamisole 10 mg/kg body weight intramuscular injection, once every 7 days, can achieve the ideal deworming effect.
